First of all, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to 330 subscribing members using Android version 0.5.5.
Below is a detailed update on the situation and the compensation plan.

What happened?

When discovered: Sunday, January 11 (morning)
Affected users: 330 subscribing members who updated the Android app to version 0.5.5
Symptom: “Ads” appeared on the upload screen

What actions have we taken so far?

• As soon as we identified the issue on Jan 11 (morning), we immediately pulled version 0.5.5 to prevent further impact.

• We temporarily stopped all upload ads for Android members.
  (Please note: it may take some time to fully propagate, so some members may see it applied while others may not.)

• After completing the bug fix, we submitted version 0.5.6 and it is currently under app review.

When will it be resolved?

We expect the update to be released between today, Jan 12 (Mon) and, at the latest, tomorrow, Jan 13 (Tue), after which normal use should be restored.
As soon as version 0.5.6 is released, we will update this notice immediately.

What you need to do

Once the update is available, please update via:
Google Play Store → Babyfolio → Update (0.5.6)

Compensation (Already granted)

To sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, we have already granted the compensation below:

Eligible users: 330 members who experienced the “Ads” display during uploads on Jan 11–12 + 1,157 users in total including admin accounts uploading at the same time
Compensation: 100 Cheese (already granted)

Cheese usage

• Can be used for: Goods purchases, Full download, etc.

• Cannot be used for: Shipping fees

Important note

Due to Google’s subscription policy, partial refunds or subscription extensions are not available.
For this reason, we had to provide compensation in the form of Cheese, and we kindly ask for your understanding.

FAQ

Q1. How can I check if I’m on version 0.5.5?
A. Please go to: My Page > Service Settings > check the app version at the bottom. If it shows 0.5.5, you are included. (Once 0.5.6 is released, it will appear as an available update.) We also sent a push notification to members using version 0.5.5.

Q2. When will the Cheese be granted?
A. The 100 Cheese has already been granted to eligible users and can be used for goods purchases, etc.

Q3. When will the update be released?
A. It is currently under review, and we expect it to be released between Jan 12 (Mon) and, at the latest, Jan 13 (Tue). We will post an update in this notice as soon as it is available.

This happened because we should have reviewed the update more carefully — it was our mistake.
We will strengthen our pre-release testing and review process to ensure this does not happen again.
